Amy Knitzer, LCSW

Amy Knitzer, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work. She began her career in New York City, working with families and children in child guidance clinics and outpatient mental health centers. Ms. Knitzer began working with seniors almost 15 years ago, and appreciates their wisdom, triumphs and their unique life stories. She has a certificate in Gerontology from Rutgers University. She acts monthly with the NJ Mental Health Players, a group that dramatizes mental health issues for diverse audiences all over the state, with the goal of de-stigmatizing mental illness. Ms. Knitzer also runs a support group for Survivors After Suicide Loss. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, cooking, reading fiction, and spending time with family
